The dBM is our low budget weighted rope for the casual jumper. The PU middle-section is now directly connected to a re-enforced hose. This makes the rope softer and slower (than the previous version) because there is no screw in the hose as a joint anymore which usually acts as an accelerator. Therefore this rope has the least pull of all our ropes (it still has a good swing though) and it would be the only one I would consider jumping barefoot. It also comes close to the handling of a thai-boxing rope, although with a much better handling. The single sleeve bearing is good for regular jumps and double-unders, but if you want to do a lot of criss-crossing and side-swings, I recommend any of our other ropes. The dBM can be cut easily to size at the top end of the hose by just unscrewing the handles.  |
