The dS has now a version where a large part of the clear PVC-hose is replaced by a smoother and thinner sheathed cable, called the dSc. The dS/c is still the duvide entry level jump rope model for general purpose & gym/crossfit use. It double-unders very well! The dSc partly being cable solves the problem of staying kinky after being rolled up and stored at low temperatures. This still can be an issue (under 20 °C) with the dS (not if stored hung up).  |

| Handling of the dSc differs slightly (other than being faster) in that it feels "harder" because the cable does not stretch while jumping like the more "elastic" PVC-hose of the dS. The dSc is my recommendation for outdoor use in windy conditions.  |
